Let it Go

I've said it before and it is a mantra worth re-visiting.  Do you ever get hung up on something that went wrong and simply continue to play back the tape of that scene in your mind?  I did this morning.  When I was done ranting and desired to let it go, I still had a difficult time doing so.  Then I relied on a trusty visualization that generally works very well for me.

I imagine the problem or challenge wrapped inside a helium balloon and then allow it to drift away.  Today, the balloon that came to me was black in color and so weighty that it could barely take off.  I stuck with my visualization and was finally able to release my feelings around the challenge.  Later today, I even laughed about it.

Plant Based Cheese

Sometimes, you have to give in to your cravings in order to have them melt away.
Soya Kaas plant based cheese is a rare treat for  me.  Generally, I  make my own un-cheeses and enjoy the creative process and tasty results.  When I received a beautiful bunch of arugula from our CSA Share, along with New Jersey tomatoes, I drummed up an image of a warm sandwich with tomatoes, wilted arugula and a cheesy substance.  For convenience, I purchased SoyaKaas and was not disappointed. Sorry- I did not photograph my open faced sandwich before it disappeared.

Plant Based Humor

I love this video clip of Justin Timberlake, clad in tofu!

Maybe it will inspire you to rinse off your quinoa and cook it up!

A Day For Reflection

Every American adult has memories of this date.  Make today a day to pray-in-your-own-way for those who have departed and those who are survivors.  Be gentle today.  Expect peace.  Be kinder than necessary to others.

One Moment at a Time

Bring your attention to whether you are multi-tasking right now?  How many opportunities do you allow yourself to single-task?  Bring your attention to the task at hand and release your thoughts and worries about what else needs to be done.  Free yourself to be here now.

Chew Your Plants

I admit, I'm a fast eater.
If you eat plant-based like me, remember to chew carefully. Digestion begins in your mouth and the cell walls of the plants you eat need to be broken down to insure proper absorption.

Why do I tell you what I don't do?  Because there is power in numbers, and as you chew more, so will I!
